Artist terms · v1.0 · in effect 2026-07-30
Your work stays yours
This is the whole agreement, in plain language, because an artist should be able to read the terms they are signing without a lawyer. The short version: we are asking for permission to show your work, nothing more. We do not take ownership, we do not take a percentage, and you can pull it back whenever you want.
You keep your copyright
You remain the sole owner of your work and of every right in it. Nothing you submit transfers ownership to Veldboom Studios. You can keep selling, licensing, exhibiting and reproducing it anywhere else, with no restriction from us.
What you are giving us
A non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display your work on veldboomstudios.com and — only if you tick that box — inside the Isle of Eline game world. That includes making the technical copies needed to show it: thumbnails, resized versions, and in-game textures. Nothing else.
Always credited
Your name is shown wherever your work appears, on the site and in the game, and we link back to you. We will not present your work anonymously or under anyone else's name.
We take no commission
We are not a sales channel and we take no percentage of anything. If you offer prints or originals, the link goes to you and the money goes to you. Any sale is between you and the buyer; we are not a party to it.
You can withdraw whenever you like
Ask us to remove a piece and we will take it off the site, and out of the next game build, without asking why. Copies already downloaded by players in older builds are outside our control, which is the one thing we cannot promise to undo.
No modification beyond presentation
We will not crop, recolour, filter or alter your work creatively. We only resize and reformat it so it displays properly. In the game it hangs as your image on a surface, framed, not repainted.
We curate, so not everything is published
Every submission is reviewed by a person before it appears anywhere. We may decline work that does not fit the platform, and we will always decline work that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that depicts or targets anyone in a degrading way. A decision is not a judgement of you, and we will tell you the reason.
It has to be yours to give
By submitting, you confirm the work is yours, that you have the rights to it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, or likeness. If you used AI tools as part of making it, say so in the description — we do not forbid it, we just want to be honest with people about how work was made.
Your personal data
We store your name, email and whatever profile details you choose to give us, to run your account and to credit you. We do not sell it. You can ask for a copy of it or for your account to be deleted, in line with the GDPR.
Dutch law
This agreement is governed by Dutch law. Veldboom Studios is registered in the Netherlands, and disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam.
Something you disagree with?
Tell us before you submit. These terms are meant to be fair rather than final — if a clause does not work for how you sell or licence your work, write to us and we will talk about it.
Submit your workWhen you submit a piece we record which version of these terms you accepted and when, so a later change can never be applied to something you already sent us. This page is provided in good faith as a plain-language agreement and is not legal advice; for a binding commercial arrangement, take your own advice.
